A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers!

Today was nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our amazing volunteers, what felt like a mission impossible became a mission accomplished. The children and I are truly grateful for the time and effort you gave to support the love of reading we cherish here at Lapal.

Following the fantastic fundraising efforts led by Friends of Lapal, we were able to order 670 brand new books for our KS2 library. This afternoon, with the help of our volunteers, every book was stamped, banded, and carefully organised—ready for our KS2 children to take home and enjoy.

A special shout-out goes to our pupil volunteers, who played a key role in sorting and filing the books. Your enthusiasm and teamwork made a real difference.

We’re now looking forward to seeing our children dive into these vibrant and engaging new texts, continuing to grow their love of reading.
