Cut Your Carbon!
On Wednesday, our Eco Council took to Priory Road to champion the importance of reducing carbon emissions. Armed with vibrant banners and posters, they shared their key message: switch engines off!
During the walk, the Eco Council proudly and enthusiastically cheered, “Cut your carbon, engines off!”—complete with musical accompaniment to create a lively, positive atmosphere. Their efforts paid off: they successfully encouraged six drivers to switch off their engines, applauding each one for helping to save carbon!
We are incredibly proud of their determination to make a real difference. The Eco Council is eager to keep this momentum going. Beyond November’s carbon initiative, they will continue monitoring idling cars with monthly spot checks along Priory Lane and Manor Lane.
Their goal is simple: to ensure all engines outside our school are switched off. Please support them in achieving this!
As Cut Your Carbon Month draws to a close, don’t forget to complete the survey sent via ParentMail. The class with the most responses will win a Forest School session—a truly rewarding prize!
