Yesterday, Year 1 headed outside to explore the school grounds and look for signs of autumn. We noticed the changes happening around us and were very excited to discover that the apples on our apple trees were ready to pick!

The children carefully picked the apples, washed them and then enjoyed them together as a delicious afternoon snack.

What a lovely way to enjoy food grown right here in our school grounds — no packaging, no food miles and no waste! A brilliant little example of how we can care for our environment while enjoying the changing seasons. 🍎🍂
