    Please see below dates for our open event sessions, for children due to start Primary school next academic year (September 2025). If you would like to attend one of sessions, please contact the school office on 01384 818200 or email school@lapal.dudley.sch.uk, stating when you would like to attend and a contact telephone number. Numbers are limited on each session so places will be given on a first come first served basis.

    At this time, we are asking that no more than 2 family members attend each session as we are needing to limit numbers.

    Where possible could younger siblings not attend.

    Thursday 26th September - 1.15pm

    Tuesday 1st October - 9.45am and 1.15pm

    Thursday 3rd October - 9.45am and 1.15pm

    Thursday 10th October - 1.15pm

  • Proud of our pupils at Lapal Primary School

    One of our year 6 pupils, who is part of the Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club, was very proud to share his medal this week. He took part in a Triangular League Competition, competing in the high jump event. From a 13-step run-up, he was able to jump a height of 1 metre. This incredible jump allowed him to achieve 2nd place and be awarded a silver medal.

    A future Olympic star in the making!!

  • Year 6 trip to the West Midlands Police Museum

    On Thursday, year 6, attended the West Midlands Police Museum as part of an introductory to their new history unit - Crime and Punishment through the ages. The children were able to explore what it would have been like to be a police officer from the 1800-present day and how this has changed over the years. During our day, the children actively participated in a workshop about crime and punishment through the ages. The children learnt about all the different petty crimes that people could be arrested for such as stealing a silk handkerchief from the rich. We also explored different punishments people faced: hanging, stocks and drowning.

  • Year One Fantastic Fruits Topic

    Today Year One were introduced to our topic Fantastic Fruits. First of all we shared as a class all of the different types of fruits we already know. Then we listened to the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’ discussing the different types of fruit that were included within the story. Next as a class we looked at specific vocabulary and displayed these around the classroom. As a class we then tasted a variety of different fruits including, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, bananas, and oranges.
