We researched how our local area contributed to the production of Titanic. We were given some key vocabulary to use as a starting point. Then we used the information that we had to match the key words (E.g. Whistles > Acme > Jewellery Quarter > Birmingham).
After that, we researched and found out a little bit more about our focus objects. Towards the end of the lesson, we shared what we had found out with our friends. Our friends shared their learning with us too so by the end of the lesson we could explain how our local area contributed the following materials for the Titanic: beds, whistles, glassware and flatware. This is all in addition to the anchor that we learnt about last week.
