Dress to Express!
On Friday, the children were invited to participate in a non-uniform day and ‘Dress to Express’. The children could wear their favourite colour or clothing to express how they feel or dress in order to share a talent that they have or something they enjoy doing. This could be as simple as wearing a football kit if they enjoy football or wearing their own clothes and bringing in a prop, such as felts, if they love drawing and aspire to being an illustrator. Our year two children wanted to explain their outfit choices for our special ‘Dress To Express’ day.
I dressed up as Matilda because I love reading. Matilda is my favourite character from the Roald Dahl books.
I chose to wear rainbows today because they are colourful. I am happy so I wear bright colours.
I chose to wear a Ronaldo kit because he plays for Manchester United and he is my favourite player. I would love to be a footballer when I grow up.
I chose to wear this football kit today because I support Birmingham City. I am in a football team, I am a midfielder and forward for Lapal Colts. I play football with James, Aaron, Harry, Noah, Luca, Zach and Mason. I love p[laying football!
I brought my puzzle book along with me today because I love to solve the puzzles inside. I like to find the words hidden in the word search.
I like unicorns because they are magical and they have rainbow hair. I chose to wear sparkles because they are pretty.
I chose to wear my nutcracker dress today because I like to dance, I love ballet and I like sparkles. I love the music from the Nutcracker ballet too.
I want to be a gymnast when I grow up. I like to perform sequences on stage.
I chose to dress up as Captain America because I’d like to be a superhero when I grow up. They save people. I would like to do that too!
I chose to wear my dress because I love sparkles and I love to dance. I want to be a singer, dancer and a teacher when I am older.
I chose to wear this outfit because it reminds me of my friend. We have the same jumper. I really like it.
