It feels strange today, supposedly being the last day of the Spring term. I hope you are all keeping well and making the best of a truly unique situation.
Over the next two weeks’ staff will not be setting any new home learning tasks, please use the time to either catch up on the tasks we have already set, or enjoy playing games and having fun over the Easter break!
However, if you do want to do something to keep yourselves entertained then you can participate in our Easter egg activity. This is your opportunity to create your very own innovative egg designs! Eggs can be based on any theme of your choosing. Once complete please take a photograph of your egg alongside your name, and send it to our school email address, we will share some of your masterpieces via our school website. (Please see photograph for examples). I have also attached a 100 things to do indoors, see how many you can tick off over the next two weeks!
At Lapal, we are always talking about the value of reading, we know you may have exhausted reading your own book collection so please use this great resource to read books online. Click on the image to access this resource.
As parents you are able to sign up for free and select books at your child’s current reading level (books go up to lime level). There are lots of books to choose from so I am sure you will all be able to find something that you will enjoy reading and talking about.
Lapal will be closed over the next two weeks, provision for children of critical workers will be based at Woodside Primary. Parents have already registered for this provision and we ask those families concerned to inform us if circumstances change so that we can staff accordingly.
It is all a bit surreal at the moment and not quite the Easter break we would have hoped for. Please continue to take care of yourselves and enjoy spending time with your families, and of course enjoy the odd Easter egg or two!
Stay safe Love
