Exciting CPD for Lapal Staff

Yesterday, as the school was closed for the children of Lapal due to voting, the staff received some excellent professional development training from the fantastic Jane Considine.

She shared her writing systems to provide ideas on how this might sharpen the teaching and learning of writing in classrooms. Jane provided guidance on how to teach writing with an awareness of audience, purpose and context, and with an increasingly wide knowledge of vocabulary. Jane also demonstrated how to build units of work that develop logically over time and empower our pupils to reach their full writing potential.

We are excited to test out some of these strategies and see how we will develop some of her ideas at Lapal.
