EYFS Reading for Pleasure

To support and encourage early reading in EYFS, we are providing opportunities for our children to develop their own reading for pleasure by providing choice. The children are given the option of two books to be read at the end of the day and the children must vote using counting cubes to see which one will be chosen and why. This enables the children to talk about why they voted for this and book and also provides opportunities to reinforce counting and looking at more and less.
