Yesterday afternoon we learnt different ways of cutting up our fruit and vegetables. We started our DT lesson looking at hygiene and what we need to do before we can start handling any foods.
Then we learnt how to grate carrot, use the claw technique to cut cucumber and peppers and how to use the bridge method to chop a tomato in to quarters.
We had a lot of fun cutting up all the fruit and vegetables and even enjoyed eating this afterwards too!
What a great start to healthy eating week, Year 2!
