World Book Day Masked Reader

Today we launched World Book day by holding two virtual assemblies where we talked about why we celebrate this day and the importance of reading. Pupils were encouraged to read wider during this event, read something new. Perhaps a new author, a new series, a different material such as a magazine or newspaper article or maybe even to read something like a recipe book to make a tasty meal or treat. We would love to hear of the different things you have been reading.

Today, we also launched day one of our Masked Reader. Pupils were given a clue from some of our masked readers as to who the are and heard them read an extract from a book that was also a clue for who they are.
