Year 1 have been learning about the factors that contributed to why fire spread around London so quickly in 1666. We used this knowledge to make our own houses in the same style of those during this period of history. Using our knowledge that houses were built close together, we set up a street scene and used red materials to show how the fire spread across the houses. We also used blue materials to show how the River Thames would have helped to stop the fire. We then worked in groups to re-enact the Great Fire of London and performed this to our friends.
Also, this week in English we have used our senses thinking about fireworks.
We tasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and chocolate apples for taste and we had fun smelling things you may smell on bonfire night.
