Y6 Parachute Investigation

Today, in Year 6, we've planned and conducted a great experiment in our physics unit of science. We asked the enquiry question of, 'Does the material of a parachute effect the descent to the ground?'

We identified the variables that it was essential that we kept the same to ensure that it was a fair test. This included, length of string, weight of object at the bottom and size of the parachute.

We worked in groups to create parachutes from 3 different materials and timed their descent.
