Year 2's historical visit to Hartlebury

As Year 2's topic around our locality is coming to an end, the children have visited Hartlebury today to ignite their thinking to develop initial knowledge and skills around the history of childhood then and now.

The children experienced a Victorian lesson with Mrs Vale, using slates and pencils and learnt about school punishments. After that they had a traditional playtime with whipping tops, hoops, skipping rooms and yo-yos. All of the children really enjoyed learning about what school was like in the past.
