Year 5 DT

Today we looked at how to build a frame with straws, learning 4 different connections, including using a paper-bond, one inside another, flattened and glued (paper straws). We also utilised the bends to create different shapes. We also learnt how to use a hack-saw and cut using a hack-saw and make an ‘L-joint’, applying compression with triangular pieces of card and glue.
