Year 5 Multi-Academy Trust Debate

On Wednesday, pupils from Year 5 attended the Multi-Academy Trust debate at Lutley Primary School. The children worked collaboratively with pupils from the schools in our Trust. They formulated arguments for and against the motion:
This house believes that you should only have a car if you need to travel more than 20 miles per day on a regular basis.
House and vice house captains judged the final presentations based on: the arguments presented, the use of persuasive techniques and the clarity of the speakers. Pupils received a certificate for their participation and the overall winners were Diamond who will be receiving a trophy for our school.
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the morning and represented Lapal Primary School impeccably. We are very proud of them demonstrating school’s values Perseverance, Excellence and Co-operation.
