EYFS Curriculum Map

Summer Term

Let’s Explore is our topic focus this term. During the first half-term, we will identify the habitats of all creatures great and small as we hunt for insects in our school woodland then compare this environment to wider habitats across the globe. In the second half of the term, we will be exploring costal regions of the UK and beyond. We will compare these locations to our local area and be visited by a RNLI volunteer to understand how to stay safe at the seaside. We will identify how the summer season impacts ourselves and the natural world and take part in local community celebrations including Eid. Finally, we prepare for the transition to Year 1, exploring how we have changed and celebrating our successes in a graduation ceremony.
